China plans to build a massive satellite network similar to Starlink, launching about 38,000 satellites through three major projects known as Qianfan, Guo Wang and Honghu-3, figures very close to Starlink's ambition, which aims to expand its network to 42,000 satellites.

The main reason behind this significant investment is the challenge Starlink poses to China's censorship policies that impose strict restrictions on the Internet, preventing citizens from accessing websites or applications that the government does not want.

China faces a major challenge in its attempt to catch up with Elon Musk's SpaceX, which has revolutionized the field of satellite internet through its Starlink network, which is one of the largest satellite projects in the world, with about 7,000 satellites and Internet service to about 5 million users in more than 100 countries.
